A. Terms & Conditions

Please read carefully. By using our website, sending an enquiry, making a payment, or enrolling in any of our programs, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not enrol or make a payment.
These terms govern your use of the Yogakulam Academy website https://www.yogakulam.com/ and your participation in our programs, including all the yoga teacher training courses, therapy sessions, retreats, workshops, drop-in classes.
1. Definitions
- “You”, “student” or “participant” means anyone who visits, enquires, enrols or takes part in our programs.
- “We”, “us”, “our” or “the School” means Yogakulam Academy.
- “Program” or “course” means any yoga course, teacher training, therapy session, retreat, workshop or class we offer.
- “Booking” means a confirmed place in a program after we receive your deposit and issue a written confirmation.
- “Written confirmation” means an email or WhatsApp from our official contact confirming your place.
2. Eligibility and admission
By enrolling, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old. Applicants aged 16–17 may join only with verified written consent from a parent or guardian, submitted before enrolment.
- You are in adequate physical and mental health to take part voluntarily in the program you choose, and you take personal responsibility for that assessment.
- You can follow instructions in the English Language, as our classes and materials are delivered in the English Language.
We may decline or cancel an admission at our discretion if information provided is false or misleading, if you don’t meet the eligibility criteria, or if participation would be medically unsafe. In such cases the refund terms in Part B apply.
3. Bookings and confirmation
A place is confirmed only when we receive your [deposit / advance] and send you a written confirmation. Enquiries, quotes or informal messages do not by themselves guarantee a place. Places are subject to availability and are allocated on a first-confirmed basis.
4. Fees and payment
Program fees are shown on our website or shared with you directly, in INR/USD. We collect payment to describe how: e.g. by bank transfer, UPI, or in person on arrival — arranged directly with you over email, chat or WhatsApp. We do not process card payments through the website.
- A deposit of 10% confirms your booking.
- The balance is due WHEN, e.g. on arrival
- Any bank transfer charges or currency-conversion costs are borne by you.
5. What is included and not included
Included in the fee:
- Tuition and All Scheduled Classes
- Accommodation for the Course Dates (As per Your Chosen Room Type)
- Daily Meals as per the Course Schedule
- Course Materials and Certificate Upon Successful Completion
Not included:
- Travel, Flights & Local Transportation
- Personal Expenses, Insurance & Visa Fees
- Any Medical or Healthcare Expenses During Your Stay
6. Accommodation and room allocation
Where accommodation is included, rooms are allocated by your chosen room type (shared or private) and by gender for shared rooms, based on availability at the time of arrival. We may change a room allocation for operational reasons and will provide an equivalent or better option where possible. Personal belongings are your responsibility; we are not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal items.
7. Health, safety and medical disclosure
Yoga and related activity involves physical movement and inherent personal risk. By enrolling you agree that:
- Disclose Any Relevant Pre-Existing Medical Conditions, Injuries, Allergies, Pregnancy or Physical Limitations Before the Program Begins to Support Safe Practice
- Consult a Qualified Medical Professional Before Starting the Program if You Have Any Existing Health Condition
- Participate Voluntarily and Accept Full Personal Responsibility for Your Participation Throughout the Program
We handle any health information you share confidentially and in line with our Privacy Policy — it is seen only by the teacher or therapist who needs it, and is never used for marketing. Failure to disclose a relevant condition that makes participation unsafe may mean we cannot let you continue.
8. Code of conduct
Our space is for learning and practice. We ask all participants to:
8.1 Student Responsibilities
- Attend All Scheduled Classes, Sessions & Training Activities as per the Published Timetable
- Treat All Teachers, Staff & Fellow Students with Respect and Courtesy at All Times
- Maintain Punctuality, Active Participation & an Open Learning Mindset
- Inform the Administration in Advance of Any Absence Due to a Genuine Emergency
- Return to Campus by 9:45 PM (Campus Gates Close at 10:00 PM)
- Maintain Appropriate Silence During Meals, Meditation & Practice Sessions
- Disclose Any Pre-Existing Medical Conditions, Injuries, Allergies or Physical Limitations at the Time of Enrollment and Prior to Arrival
8.2 Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited on campus and during all program hours:
- Consumption of Alcohol, Tobacco, Recreational Drugs, Non-Vegetarian Food or Any Intoxicating Substances
- Any Form of Disrespect, Bullying, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct or Offensive Behaviour Towards Students, Staff or Faculty
- Damage to School Property or Any Disruption to the Learning Environment
- Practising in Swimwear, Bikinis or Any Attire Deemed Inappropriate by the School Administration
- Use of Mobile Phones Inside the Yoga Hall. All Electronic Devices Must Be Switched Off During Classes
- Photography, Video or Audio Recording During Classes Without Prior Written Permission from the Administration
Serious or repeated breaches may lead to a warning, suspension, or removal from the program at our discretion. The refund terms in Part B apply to any removal for misconduct.
9. Certification
Where a program leads to a certificate, certification depends on meeting the stated requirements minimum attendance, assessments, and conduct. Paying the full fee does not by itself guarantee a certificate. Any external registration (for example with a yoga-alliance body) is subject to that body’s own rules and is outside our control.
10. Intellectual property
All content on our website and in our course materials — text, images, logos, videos and branding — belongs to Yogakulam Academy or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, republish or reuse it without our written permission.
11. Reviews and content you post
If you post a review, comment or testimonial, you confirm it is truthful and based on your own experience, and you allow us to display and lightly edit it (for length or clarity) on our website and channels. We may remove content that is abusive, false or infringing.
12. Third-party links
Our website may link to other websites for convenience. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk..
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Information on our website is for general guidance and may change. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a program is limited to the fee you actually paid us for that program. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as travel costs, visa fees or lost income. You accept that yoga carries inherent risks and that you participate voluntarily.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, we’ll both first try to resolve it in good faith within 30 days of written notice. If it remains unresolved, it will be handled [by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Bengaluru, Karnataka / by the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. By enrolling, international students agree to Indian law and this jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version will always be on our website with a revised date. The version in effect when you confirm your booking applies to that booking, unless the law requires otherwise.

B. Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains what happens if you cancel or reschedule, and when refunds apply. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Please read it before you pay.
1. Deposits
The 10% deposit that confirms your booking is refundable up to 12 days before the start date, because it reserves your place and covers preparation.
2. Cancellation by you
If you cancel, the following applies based on when we receive your written cancellation by email to contact@yogakulam.com:
- More Than 10 Days Before the Course Start Date: Deposit Retained, Remaining Balance Refunded in Full
- Between X and Y Days Before the Course Start Date: 50% of the Course Fee Refunded
- Fewer Than Y Days Before the Course Start Date, or After the Program Begins: No Refund Available
Where a refund is due, we process it within 4-5 working days using the original payment method where possible. Bank or transfer charges may be deducted.
3. Rescheduling / transferring to a later batch
If you can’t attend your booked dates, you may ask to move to a later program. [State your rule, e.g. one free transfer if requested at least X days before the start; a transfer fee of [AMOUNT] otherwise; transfers subject to availability and valid for X months.]
4. Cancellation or changes by us
If we cancel or reschedule a program (for example due to low enrollment or circumstances beyond our control), you may choose either a full refund of what you paid us, or a transfer to another program of equal value. We are not responsible for your travel, visa or accommodation costs booked separately, so please buy refundable travel and insurance where you can.
5. No-shows and early departure
If you do not arrive, or leave the program early for personal reasons, the fee is [non-refundable / partially refundable per Section 2]. [Adjust to your stance.]
6. Removal for misconduct
If you are removed from a program for a serious breach of our Code of Conduct, no refund is due. See Part A, Section 8.
7. Health-related cancellation
If you must cancel for a documented medical reason, [state your approach, e.g. we’ll offer a transfer to a later program, or a partial refund, at our discretion, on receipt of medical documentation]. [Adjust or delete.]
8. Force majeure
Neither of us is responsible for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, travel restrictions, government action, and similar). In such cases we’ll offer a transfer or credit where possible.
9. How to request a cancellation or refund
Send a written request to contact@yogakulam.com with your name, program, and dates. We’ll confirm receipt and tell you what applies. If you’re unhappy with the outcome, you can raise a grievance using the contact in our Privacy Policy.
