Birth giving is a life-changing experience in a women’s life. One goes through a lot of anatomical and physiological changes throughout this phase. The changes start from the inception of the fetus and continue after the child is born.

Curriculum Of Our 85 Hour Prenatal & Postnatal YTT Course In Kerala

In this module, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the structural and functional changes that occur during pregnancy. This includes changes in the musculoskeletal system, hormonal fluctuations, and alterations in the cardiovascular, respiratory, and digestive systems. This knowledge forms the foundation for creating safe and effective sequences of prenatal yoga asanas.

You will learn to identify common pregnancy-related discomforts such as nausea, heartburn, backache, and fatigue. Additionally, you'll explore contraindications for physical activities that should be avoided during prenatal yoga practice. Understanding these discomforts and contraindications is vital for tailoring customized yoga practices that cater to the specific needs of pregnant women.

This module of prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher training at Rishikul Yogshala delves into the different stages of labor and delivery, including the phases of contractions and the physiological changes occurring in both the mother and baby's bodies during each stage. This knowledge empowers you to prepare pregnant women to cope with the physical and emotional challenges of labor and delivery.

You will acquire a deep understanding of how to modify and adapt traditional yoga asanas to make them safe and beneficial for pregnant women. This includes poses that can alleviate pregnancy-related discomforts, promote relaxation, and prepare the body for childbirth.

You will explore the effective use of props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks to provide additional support and enhance the accessibility of yoga poses for pregnant women.

This section focuses on the art of sequencing a prenatal yoga class. You'll learn how to craft sequences that consider the different trimesters of pregnancy and accommodate the varying physical abilities and limitations of pregnant students.

You'll gain insights into various breathwork and meditation techniques specifically designed to help pregnant women relax, reduce stress, and prepare for childbirth. Techniques such as Ujjayi breathing, Bhramari breath, and meditation are explored to calm the nervous system and create an optimal environment for the baby's growth and development.

Certified Yoga Alliance Teacher Training

Yoga Kulam is a Registererd Yoga School with Yoga Alliance (RPYS85). After succesful completion of the course, we will award you the 85- hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate (RPYS85) accredited by Yoga Alliance, USA. This certificate is recognized internationally by Yoga Alliance and International Yoga Federation. This means that you will have the rights to teach yoga anywhere on the globe. The course is also certified by the Indian Yoga Alliance for 85 hours Yoga Teacher Training Program.

Throughout the 10 days of your certified yoga teacher training in Kerala, you will be trained by our efficient and experienced teachers with a prime motive to mold you into a better practitioner and an expert teacher. The evaluation is the final step of your Kerala yoga teacher training journey.

Every day is in fact a preparation for the final evaluation. Over the course period, our teachers would ensure that you are all set to be a certified yoga teacher. It is mandatory that you complete all 6 modules of the course. The assessment will be conducted in 3 segments: oral, written and practical.

Though we call it ‘evaluation’, the process doesn’t have the stress of an examination. It is all about knowing how much you have learned during your journey.

  • Train to Varkala (2 km from South Cliff): Varkala station is the nearest railway station. From the station, you can take a rickshaw or taxi to the venue.
  • Train to Kollam (30 km from South Cliff): Kollam is a little farther, but well-connected by train.

  2. After a successful transaction, we will send you a confirmation email with booking details and also a link to make the remaining payment if any.
  3. When your deposit is made, your spot in the batch and the accommodation is confirmed. Kindly note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  4. You may pay the remaining amount upon arrival.

Cancellation

If you cancel your booking 10 days prior to the course start date, the deposited will be forfeited however the remaining amount will be refunded back or will be given the option to transfer the booking to a different date. Any cancellations on or after the 10th day prior to the course start date will be 100% non-refundable.
